This project continues the idea of generating large-scale digital Tapestries.
Here the original source code from Tapestry
is refined and further
modifications are made to add more control over the 'threading' (i.e. changing of colour) and the cellular
automata rules in real time.
The core mechanics remain the same, 40x40 pixel machines each contribute their pixels in turn to every
row of the Tapestry.
The cell renderer has been modified a little to occasionally repeat itself a number of times at different
saturation levels to create some additional texture to the final render.
