After being dissatisfied with the level of detail achieved in Fields #1, a second attempt was made and a different subject matter investigated.

'Letter Home' (above) imagines how a letter may look written by some alien life-form visiting Earth and learning about the art of letter writing.

A higher level of detail was possible due to two factors: Increasing the resolution of the image by a factor of almost 2 and rendering onto 3 different layers before compositing.

The use of alpha is still causing problems, overlap created when drawing point vectors can be easily seen close up in detail 2. The next attempt will look at reducing this darkened overlap effect.

Can this exact image be re-produced? If the exact vector field function along with any noise seed are stored then an exact replica is possible. These images are not replicatable because the seeds and exact functions were not retained.
